These weekly hands-on sessions invite members to the Simcoe County Museum to help restore\, maintain\, and operate Canada’s historic construction machinery. \nWhether you’re passionate about heavy equipment\, interested in preservation\, or simply looking to reconnect with fellow enthusiasts\, Work Days offer the perfect opportunity to get involved. \n\nWhat Are Work Days?\nHCEA Canada’s Work Days are dedicated on-site volunteer sessions held every Wednesday\, beginning in the morning and running into the early evening. These days are focused on: \n\nRestoration and maintenance of vintage construction equipment\nPreparing machinery for exhibitions and public events\nYard organization\, repairs\, painting\, and technical projects\nSharing knowledge between experienced volunteers and new members\nStrengthening the community around Canada’s construction equipment heritage\n\nNo prior mechanical experience is required—just enthusiasm\, curiosity\, and a willingness to get your hands a bit dirty. \n\nWho Can Attend?\nThese sessions are exclusively for active HCEA Canada members.If you’re not yet a member and want to participate\, you can join online at hceacanada.org. \n\nTime & Location\n📅 Every Wednesday⏰ Daytime through early evening📍 Simcoe County Museum – HCEA Canada Headquarters \nFeel free to come for a couple of hours or stay for the full day—whatever fits your schedule. \n\nWhat to Bring \n\nWork gloves and steel-toe boots (recommended)\nAny personal tools you prefer to use\nWeather-appropriate clothing for outdoor work\nA positive attitude and interest in heritage equipment\n\nHCEA Canada provides project supervision\, materials\, and on-site leadership. \n\nWhy Participate? \n\nMembers tell us Work Days are the highlight of their week.
